Frequently asked questions about the course of study
When and where do the lectures take place?
Thematic meetings, hereinafter referred to as TS, are held directly in the premises of the Institute of Law and Legal Science, o.p.s. Classes take place on Saturdays and Sundays, exceptionally on Fridays.
Where will the study materials be?
Study materials are available to students in the students section. For each subject there is a so-called syllabus, in which the student learns what is the content and goal of the course, there is a recommended literature and suggestions for topics of seminar papers. There is also a presentation available for each subject, which the lecturer uses in teaching.
What are the criteria for seminar work?
The scope of seminar papers is given according to the selected program: BBA, LLB - 8 -12 standard pages, MBA MSc., LLM., MPA - 10 - 16 standard pages, DBA, LLD - 12 - 20 standard pages. Each seminar work should have a theoretical part, which should, however, be to a minimal extent. A substantial part of the seminar work is the practical part. Each seminar paper should have its goal and specific outcome.
What about the literature to study?
The Institute of Law and Legal Science publishes a script of lecturers who teach here. So we have our own sources of literature from which to draw. According to the chosen program, the student will receive a script related to what is the content of his program and in case he is interested in a script for a subject that is not in his chosen program, he can buy them from us at a discount.
I can study when I do not have a university degree
The condition for admission to the offered programs, with the exception of the BBA and LLB programs, is a completed university education (a completed bachelor's degree is sufficient). If the person interested in studying does not have a university degree, it is necessary to prove his / her experience. He will therefore be required to provide his professional CV and confirmation from his current employer. These documents are then approved by the Board of Directors and the Director of the ÚPPV. In the case of their positive evaluation, a Decision on granting an exemption to study is issued.
