About the UPPV Institute

The Institute of Law and Legal Science is a Czech law and management school focused on providing managerial vocational education within the MBA, BBA, LLM., DBA, MPA and MSc educational programs. fully adapted for very busy participants. The quality of our professional education programs and entire institutions are protected by prestigious accreditations and membership in international associations overseeing the quality of education. The teaching of individual programs is then provided by top lecturers at a high professional level, who excel in their many years of experience.

In 2005, we were the first to start offering MBA programs focused on legal disciplines, the study of which was and is conducted exclusively in the Czech language. In the course of 2010, these MB specializations (MBA Commercial Law) were first joined by an MBA focused on PR (MBA PR) and then an MBA focused on Human Resource Management and Personnel Management. In October 2010, we opened the MBA program - Leadership and then many other specializations.

The Institute of Law and Legal Science was established on 21 May 2003 and since 2005 it has been an accredited educational institution in the sense of Act No. 312/2002 Coll., On Officials of Territorial Self-Government Units and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended. Accreditation is performed by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and is renewed every three years. The last process of its renewal was successfully completed in 2017.

School management

At the head of the Institute of Law and Legal Science®, o.p.s. stands the Board of Directors, which consists of 11 members, who are leading experts in the field of law and management. The executive body of UPPV is its statutory director, the quality of teaching is supervised by the chairman of the scientific council and feedback from students is provided by the ombudsman.

Accreditation and membership

Institute of Law and Legal Science, o.p.s. is accredited by The International Association for Distance Learning (IADL), which ensures the quality of distance and online vocational education worldwide. Institute of Law and Legal Science, o.p.s. has been the holder of accreditation since 2011. Accreditation is re-evaluated every year and, if the accreditation process is successful, extended by 1 year.

The MBA degree is written after the name and does not overlap a previously earned BBA or any other degree, and both degrees are listed separately after the holder's name. Studies at the Institute of Law and Legal Studies are affiliated to the European Business School SE. Both schools are located in the same building in Prague and can be visited at any time if you wish.

The internationally recognised IES certificate

The MBA Executive Management programme is jointly organised with the European Business School SE. In addition to the internationally recognised MBA diploma, successful graduates will also receive the internationally recognised IES (International Education Society) certificate.
